About the Company

My client is a globally recognised OEM specialising in advanced industrial machinery powered by automation and AI technologies. With their own state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across Including China, Southeast Asia, they deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients in automotive, electronics, logistics, and smart manufacturing sectors.

As they continue to expand their global footprint and technological capabilities, they are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the dynamic R&D Design team and lead the design and development of next-generation machinery.

Your Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the full life cycle of mechanical system design from concept to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and AI engineers to develop high-performance, reliable, and scalable machinery for global deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design and development of industrial automation equipment and robotic systems.
  • Drive innovation in mechanical architecture, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with AI and automation teams to integrate intelligent features into mechanical systems.
  • Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and regional manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and support global engineering teams.
  • Interface with suppliers and manufacturing teams across Asia to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and cost optimisation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial machinery or automation.
  • Proficiency in any of these 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA).
  • Strong understanding of mechatronics, pneumatic, and motion systems.
  • Experience with FEA, tolerance analysis, and thermal/stress simulations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration in mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese
