Salary: $110,000 - 128,000 + full relo
Summary:
A reputable shipbuilding company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Welding Engineer III in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities:
The ideal Welding Engineer III will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain welding procedures that meet ASME, AWS, ABS, and NAVSEA code requirements for commercial, government, and ship repair projects.
- Provide technical guidance to production and welding personnel on fabrication methods, material requirements, welding specifications, and critical joint applications.
- Improve welding processes by evaluating new technologies, optimizing procedures and equipment, and supporting cost-effective fabrication while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage welder qualification programs, procedure qualification records (PQRs), and code compliance activities while collaborating with engineering, suppliers, customers, and quality teams.
Qualifications
The ideal Welding Engineer III will have the following skill set:
- B.S. degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of welding experience and/or welding supervision
- Must be a US Citizen due to the nature of this role
