Position Overview:
We are in search of a highly motivated and experienced professional to join us as the Category Manager for Construction, Renovations, and Maintenance. This pivotal role focuses on Technical Services and HVAC, overseeing procurement activities for multiple sites across the region.
Responsibilities:
Site Management:
- Oversee construction, renovation, and maintenance projects, including technical services, across multiple sites on a country/regional scale.
- Ensure strict adherence to high-quality standards and compliance with safety regulations.
Procurement:
- Lead the purchasing efforts for all capital expenditures related to construction, renovations, maintenance, and technical services.
- Manage the procurement of maintenance, repairs, operational parts, and technical equipment.
Technical Services:
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand and address specific project requirements.
- Coordinate the procurement of technical services, ensuring alignment with project timelines and specifications.
Supplier Management:
- Travel to multiple production sites to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best value for the organisation.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Proven experience in managing multiple sites for construction, renovation, maintenance, and technical services across different categories.
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience on a local/regional scale.
Skills:
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with technical services and equipment procurement.
