Job Summary:
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the day-to-day operations of our logistics facility in Hanover. Your primary focus will be on managing teams, optimising work flows, and driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of operational staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Operational Efficiency:
- Analyse and optimise end-to-end logistics processes for maximum efficiency.
- Implement best practices to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between different operational functions.
Quality Control:
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control measures for inbound and outbound logistics activities.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure service excellence.
- Address and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain service levels.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory control processes, including stock replenishment and cycle counting.
- Implement strategies to minimise stock outs, overstocks, and order fulfilment errors.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to optimise inventory levels.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns related to logistics operations.
- Implement customer-centring solutions to enhance overall satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience 4 in logistics and operations management within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Excellent analytically and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using logistics management software and systems.
- Fluency in both German and English.
