What Will You Do?
- Developing/improving purchasing reports tomaximize success for the department. Examples are:
- Open PO report
- Reorder reports
- Item ABC/XYZ classifications
- Safety stock and min/max reports
- Perform Quarterly Business Reviews with strategic suppliers.
- Develop processes, reports and escalation paths to immediately understand potential material shortages and implementing corrective actions to prevent line down situations.
- Ability to drive supplier selection, in part, based on Legrand's landed cost model.
- Capable of driving suppliers to VMI models.
- Leadership in 'should cost' modeling to understand supplier cost. Proficient in manufacturing to hold suppliers accountable for improvements that can result in cost improvement for all parties.
- Strong negotiation abilities.
- Deep understanding of how global events can impact supply chains.
- Continually identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements that result in both abilities to redirect efforts towards higher value activities and improved product availability.
- Work with Finance to evaluate cost savings, obtain reports/information.
- Contribute to development of annual operating plans/budgets.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as required to achieve business goals of Finelite and Legrand in North America.

The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain Director position should possess the following qualifications/attributes:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, purchasing, engineering or related field of study.
- MBA and APICs certification preferred.
Experience:
- Senior management experience.
- 7+ years of demonstrated success in purchasing and/or sourcing positions of increasing responsibility.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a purchasing function that result in achieving components in house to support customer requested ship dates.
- Proven ability to manage the purchasing function using best in class procedures, metrics and reports.
- Well organized and capable of handling a variety of issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of sourcing strategy; electrical and communications industry product and supplier familiarity is a plus.
- Excellent management skills, timely decision making, effective delegation needed to ensure goals are achieved and financial objectives are met.
- A self-confident take charge leader with a broad business perspective who can develop constructive working relationships both inside and outside the Company.
- Effective in oral and written communications.
- Able to work effectively in a team and/or matrix management environment.
- Presence and bearing commanding respect among fellow managers and executives both within and outside the Company.
