Electrical Project Manager - (Travel Required)
Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel across construction and operations, managing equipment, and estimating maintenance and repair costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all electrical construction and capital project activities across multiple industrial facilities
- Manage scheduling and coordination of field personnel and subcontractors
- Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and services to ensure timely project execution
- Supervise field coordinators, project staff, and subcontracted trades (including millwrights)
- Track project progress, completion status, labor needs, and job costs across multiple active projects
- Troubleshoot equipment performance issues and support continuous improvement efforts
- Coordinate large-scale equipment installations and change-outs to minimize downtime
- Support commissioning and startup of newly installed systems
- Ensure safety, compliance, and proper use/maintenance of tools and equipment
- Interface with senior leadership including plant and operations management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of experience in construction/project management within industrial or process environments
- Electrical certifications required
- Prior supervisory experience managing field teams and subcontractors
- Strong mechanical aptitude; millwright or process industry experience a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel regularly
