Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance team within a manufacturing or industrial facility. This role ensures that equipment and machinery are maintained to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the supervisor leads a team of technicians in executing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction, training, and performance feedback.
- Develop and execute maintenance schedules, work orders, and inspections to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment issues, safety hazards, or areas for improvement, and take corrective action.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and perform or coordinate timely repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of tools and spare parts.
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and operational performance.
- Monitor maintenance-related expenses and optimize resource utilization to stay within budget.
- Provide regular updates to the Maintenance Manager on team performance, equipment status, and key metrics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and root cause analysis.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in maintenance software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance needs outside of standard working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in a related field (e.g., mechanical or electrical systems).
- Professional certification in maintenance or reliability (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional).
