Summary:

A reputable manufacturing company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Materials + Process Engineer for their Tulsa, Oklahoma facility.

Responsibilities:

The ideal Senior Materials + Process Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• Solve complex problems related to manufacturing, rework, and repair of aerospace products by applying creative thinking and independent judgment.
• Review new product designs and recommend materials based on strength, weight, cost, and performance goals.
• Work with suppliers to evaluate metals, ceramics, and polymers for specific aerospace applications.
• Analyze product failures and inspect materials using both destructive and non-destructive methods to identify defects or root causes.
• Plan and run lab operations to develop new materials and fabrication methods that meet cost and performance standards.
• Set up and manage testing procedures, troubleshoot issues, and interpret results to improve product quality.

Qualifications

The ideal Senior Materials + Process Engineer will have the following skill set:

• 6+ years of experience working with transparencies materials, such as glass, acrylics, and/or coatings

• Experience working in the aerospace industry is preferred but not required
• Must be a US Citizen
