Senior Project Engineer

We're looking for a passionate and driven Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects, drive operational improvements, and support manufacturing innovation. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with production, finance, safety, and maintenance teams, while managing equipment installations, process enhancements, and facility expansions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage capital projects from concept to execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
- Analyze and justify capital investments with operational and financial data.
- Identify and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop technical layouts and documentation using ACAD and 3D engineering tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
- Train production and maintenance teams on new equipment and processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards.
- Communicate with equipment vendors regarding specifications, pricing, and timelines.
- Conduct engineering analysis for equipment selection, layout, and performance.
- Maintain project timelines and budgets while achieving production goals.
- Recommend process and packaging equipment to support business growth.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SMED, and other methodologies to optimize operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA preferred).
- 4-6 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering project management or execution.
- Strong skills in technical system analysis, CAD, process improvement, and maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of OSHA, FDA regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Experience with food processing equipment and ingredient handling systems.
- Familiarity with plant utilities: steam, compressed air, electrical, HVAC, wastewater.
- Understanding of packaging equipment, robotics, and automation systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ACAD/3D design software, and MS Project.
