Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Indirect
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager of Indirect Sourcing to lead sourcing initiatives across a broad range of indirect categories including professional services, IT, facilities, marketing, and more. This role is critical to optimizing supplier performance, driving cost savings, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of leadership experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably within the medical device or life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of sourcing professionals focused on indirect categories.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and global procurement policies.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contract execution to ensure optimal value and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, HR, and other departments to understand needs and align sourcing strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes, tools, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and cost reduction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in sourcing or procurement, with a strong focus on indirect categories.
- Experience in the medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred.
- Proven success in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in sourcing tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba).
Preferred Attributes:
- Ability to lead change and influence across a matrixed organization.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
- Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
