Salary: $100-120k plus bonus
Location: LAX - Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Onsite Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Tuesday off, Wednesday remote, Thursday off/remote

Company Profile: A rapidly growing PE firm that has recently acquired a highly specialized ~$10M revenue air freight operation at LAX, focused on AVI (Live Animals) and Perishables is looking for a Site Operations Manager/General Manager.
This acquisition is the foundation of a broader platform. Over the next three years, this PE firm plans to execute 10+ additional acquisitions across multiple industries in and around Los Angeles, while building new business lines on top of the existing operation.
The Site Operations Manager Will Be Responsible for the Following:
- Own site‑level operations, execution, and performance metrics
- Lead daily planning, shift execution, and exception management
- Recruit, schedule, and retain labor in a challenging, fast‑moving environment
- Enforce SOPs related to AVI, perishables, and airport operations
- Coordinate closely with leadership on scaling, integration, and future acquisitions
- Identify process improvements that increase reliability, speed, and throughput
The Site Operations Manager Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Prior experience in air freight, air cargo, aviation operations, perishables, or time‑critical logistics
- Comfort working in high‑stakes AVI (Live Animal) environments
- Strong, hands‑on leadership style with experience managing frontline teams and irregular labor coverage
- High level of IT and technical aptitude, including comfort navigating proprietary systems
- Willingness to be fully on‑site and boots‑on‑the‑ground
- Ability to remain calm, decisive, and accountable in fast‑moving, high‑pressure situations
- Desire to grow into broader leadership, platform operations, and M&A integration responsibilities
This role offers a clear and accelerated path to a COO position with significant equity ownership, tied to successful execution at the LAX site and expansion through acquisitions and new business lines.
