Continuous Improvement Leader (Black Belt)

Position Summary:

This role is part of the Continuous Improvement team and is responsible for driving operational excellence by embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. The role of 'Black Belt' leads strategic initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, mentors project teams, supports manufacturing site efforts, and applies data analysis to guide decision-making and enhance performance. The position contributes to improved efficiency, productivity, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing sites in adopting a standardized operating model aligned with business goals. Provide strategic guidance to ensure consistent and effective execution.
  • Promote a safety-first mindset by leading initiatives that improve safety practices and outcomes across facilities.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project outcomes. Share progress reports and insights with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects focused on reducing inefficiencies and enhancing processes.
  • Implement tools and lead initiatives to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) at the site level.
  • Use Lean Six Sigma tools to streamline reporting and improve data handling for operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with plant teams, engineers, and leadership to drive improvements in quality, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct training sessions on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies, including Green Belt certification, RCCA, FMEA, and general CI awareness.
  • Guide and support Green Belt candidates and project teams to ensure successful project execution and skill development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, STEM, supply chain, business, finance, or related field (preferred)
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (required)
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Experience with analytical and simulation tools (e.g., Minitab, Power BI, ERP/SAP)
  • Project and time management
