DC + Implementation Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 + 10% bonus
Location: South New Jersey
Summary:
A leading national retailer seeks a DC + Implementation Manager to join their team in South New Jersey to lead DC design and automation retrofits.
The DC + Implementation Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into detailed requirements for capacity, material handling systems, project budgets, and schedules for new distribution centers.
- Lead and support all design activities - material handling (conveyance, automation, racking), building infrastructure/MEP, and WMS/WES - ensuring alignment across Operations, IT, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
- Manage project execution by tracking milestones, budgets, risks, vendor performance, and ensuring scopes of work are accurate and contractually sound.
- Oversee on‑site implementation, including infrastructure buildout, issue resolution with vendors, performance validation, and systems integration for facility startup.
- Drive post‑implementation success by monitoring ramp‑up metrics, ensuring DC performance meets design expectations, documenting lessons learned, and preparing operational hand‑off materials.
The DC + Implementation Manager will have the following requirements and skill sets:
- B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in new build/automation retrofit projects
- Distribution center/warehouse experience
- Strong project management, team management and leadership skills
