Regional Sales Manager - Automotive/Truck Parts
Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to drive revenue growth across assigned territory
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new distributor partners, auto shops, and repair facilities
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers to increase product penetration and account share
- Conduct regular in-person visits to distributors and end-users to understand needs and promote product offerings
- Educate customers on the product line, value proposition, and competitive differentiators
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, product, leadership) to align on market needs and opportunities
- Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and regional trends to inform strategy
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5+ years of outside sales experience in heavy-duty truck or trailer parts
- Proven track record of selling through distributor and aftermarket channels
- Existing relationships with local distributors, repair shops, and service centers
- Strong territory management and business development skills
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region
Preferred
- Experience working with or selling manufactured parts (vs. purely distribution)
- Established network within the regional heavy-duty aftermarket ecosystem
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
