Buyer

Responsibilities:

• Manage the replenishment of materials and coordinate shipments from various supplier locations, considering lead times, order quantities, storage constraints, and shelf life (if applicable).
• Determine optimal order quantities to balance operational demand with available financial and physical resources.
• Oversee reverse logistics processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams when material issues arise.
• Ensure compliance with volume, pricing, delivery terms, and freight cost accuracy.
• Demonstrate strong crisis management and multitasking capabilities to address material-related issues in production.
• Lead and facilitate supplier performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to strategic sourcing activities, including documentation, regulatory compliance, sample evaluations, and financial assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver value across the organization.

Requirements:

• Full-time, on-site availability required.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Experience building collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, especially in production or plant settings.
• Proficiency in supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to mentor and support junior team members in purchasing or procurement roles.
• Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Syspro) is advantageous.
