Responsibilities:
- Manage the replenishment of materials and coordinate shipments from various supplier locations, considering lead times, order quantities, storage constraints, and shelf life (if applicable).
- Determine optimal order quantities to balance operational demand with available financial and physical resources.
- Oversee reverse logistics processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams when material issues arise.
- Ensure compliance with volume, pricing, delivery terms, and freight cost accuracy.
- Demonstrate strong crisis management and multitasking capabilities to address material-related issues in production.
- Lead and facilitate supplier performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to strategic sourcing activities, including documentation, regulatory compliance, sample evaluations, and financial assessments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver value across the organization.
Requirements:
- Full-time, on-site availability required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Experience building collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, especially in production or plant settings.
- Proficiency in supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members in purchasing or procurement roles.
- Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Syspro) is advantageous.
