Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Category Manager to lead the "Paper" (Finished Goods) spend category related to food disposable products. This role is pivotal in driving category management, strategic sourcing, spend leverage, and innovative designs to enhance sustainability across global procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global category strategies for the "Paper" category, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Support the entire category tower with best practices in Category Management, including internal/external analysis, strategy development, data analytics, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to drive category initiatives, supplier negotiations, and relationship management.
- Implement procurement best practices to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and supply security.
- Manage supplier relationships through factory visits, performance reviews, risk assessments, and fostering collaborative partnerships.
- Continuously assess global supply markets, leveraging market intelligence and technology trends to anticipate industry shifts.
- Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes and tools, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 5-6 years of experience in Category Management, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
- Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process efficiencies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply market data, supplier performance, and cost structures.
- Demonstrated success in negotiation and supplier management.
- High energy, results-driven, with strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in project management, data analytics, and presentation tools.
- Creative thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and suppliers.
- Global experience, particularly with Asia supply markets and cross-cultural collaboration.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain or Procurement, with knowledge of tariffs and Incoterms.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and associated cost drivers.
- Experience in consumer goods and high-volume exports from Asia to North America.
- Change management experience within procurement functions.
