Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead and support initiatives focused on Lean Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, Productivity improvements, scrap reduction, and equipment procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Development & Optimization: Design and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies aligned with strategic goals.
- Product Launch Support: Modify existing processes to accommodate new product introductions, including part print reviews and design-for-manufacturability assessments.
- Cost Analysis: Prepare cost comparisons and ROI evaluations to guide supplier selection and investment decisions.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide technical leadership across cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Standardization & Documentation: Develop standardized processes with comprehensive documentation to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Collaboration: Partner with quality teams to create control plans and inspection protocols that ensure robust product delivery.
- Training & Support: Train production staff on equipment operation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Reporting & Analysis: Maintain process documentation (SOPs, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans) and generate performance reports.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with design, production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and support smooth operations.
- Operational Support: Address daily operational needs to help teams meet KPIs and ensure consistency across production lines.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead failure analysis efforts and implement corrective actions.
- Equipment Coordination: Collaborate on major equipment changes with engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5-10 years in a fast-paced, customer-focused manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret GD&T.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and SolidWorks.
- Experience leading Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
- Capable of leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
