Materials Manager
We're supporting a commercial & residential solar company in their search for a Materials Manager solar energy operations by managing the flow of materials from procurement through delivery. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their supply chain career who's ready to take ownership of inventory planning, vendor coordination, and material logistics in a fast-growing, mission-driven industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material planning and procurement to support solar production and installation schedules
- Track inventory levels and ensure timely availability of components and supplies
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to forecast material needs
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, and support contract negotiations
- Monitor supplier performance and help resolve delivery or quality issues
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and generate reports for internal use
- Support continuous improvement efforts in material handling and logistics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and inventory control practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Interest in renewable energy and sustainability
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with solar components or construction materials is a plus
