Job Title: Process/Project Engineer
Location: Greater Cedar Rapids, IA
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 + bonus
Summary:
A reputable food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Project/Process Engineer for their Greater Cedar Rapids facility
Responsibilities:
The ideal Project/Process Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and CAPEX/non-CAPEX projects.
- Analyze operations and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, product quality, and energy use.
- Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to manage project time lines, costs, and execution.
- Use AutoCAD to design equipment layouts and support facility upgrades.
- Develop and enforce procedures that ensure safety, quality, and optimal resource use.
- Serve as a key support to the Engineering Manager, including acting as backup when needed.
Qualifications
The ideal Process/Project Engineer will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial preferred)
- 3+ years of experience working with liquid processes, pumps, flow, pressure and/or temperatures + their equipment
3+ years of continuous improvement project experience - Process improvement experience within a manufacturing setting
