Quality Engineer
Position Overview
A global leader in advanced manufacturing is seeking a Quality Engineer to support its operations in producing high-performance components for aerospace, energy, and industrial applications. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving cross-functional quality initiatives. The position reports directly to the Quality Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain QMS policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Monitor quality processes using statistical methods and team collaboration; recommend improvements.
- Conduct audits to identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions meet reliability and documentation standards.
- Lead quality improvement efforts across departments and functions.
- Manage corrective actions with root cause analysis, performance metrics, and closure reporting.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external quality-related matters.
- Support customer and third-party audits (e.g., AS9100) and prepare audit documentation.
- Train team members on product conformity and quality practices.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Skilled in using inspection tools such as micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and profilometers.
- Strong understanding of ISO and AS9100 quality standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Capable of managing projects and using KPIs to drive results.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
- Minimum 4 years in manufacturing quality roles (preferably in aerospace).
- Bachelors degree in Engineerug or related field.
