Site Logistics Coordinator
A growing operations-focused organization is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support on-site material flow and ensure efficient coordination of incoming deliveries. This role plays a critical part in managing the movement, handling, and allocation of materials to support operational teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Material Coordination & Flow Management
- Gather and organize information related to incoming deliveries and operational team requirements.
- Coordinate staging and movement of inbound shipments across the site.
- Manage the flow of materials from arrival through distribution or storage, minimizing handling and maximizing space utilization.
- Ensure materials are offloaded safely and placed appropriately for operational use.
- Support receiving processes, including documentation and tracking of goods.
Inventory & Operational Support
- Assist with stock movement and internal transfers as needed.
- Support inspection of incoming materials and report findings accordingly.
- Help maintain efficient and accurate inventory flow across operations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with operational teams, equipment operators, safety personnel, and logistics partners.
- Coordinate with transportation providers and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and material handling processes.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure efficient and safe movement of materials from receipt through final use.
- Minimize delays related to unloading and staging activities.
- Reduce handling errors and material damage.
- Support overall operational efficiency through effective coordination.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics coordination, materials management, or site-based operations.
- Experience working in an operational or project-based environment preferred.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to build working relationships across teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, or similar).
Preferred Background:
- Experience in construction, industrial, or project-based logistics environments.
- Exposure to inventory or warehouse coordination practices.
Work Environment:
- On-site role supporting day-to-day operations, with occasional travel as needed.
