Commodity Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies across assigned categories.
Manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and long-term agreements focused on cost, quality, and risk.
Lead and support a remote regional sourcing team, promoting collaboration and high performance.
Evaluate supplier capabilities in emerging and low-cost markets, especially within Asia.
Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Logistics on new product initiatives.
Drive cost savings through RFPs, supplier consolidation, e-auctions, and indexed pricing agreements.
Conduct market and supplier risk analyses and benchmarking.
Maintain accurate pricing and data across multiple ERP platforms.
Resolve invoice and pricing discrepancies with internal finance teams.
Collaborate with Logistics to optimize freight spend and sourcing routes.
Support process improvements, policy development, and procurement governance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, CPSM) are a plus.
7+ years of procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing experience, including 2+ years managing remote teams.
Strong understanding of Asian supply markets and business practices.
Fluency in English; Mandarin proficiency is highly desirable.
Proven expertise in sourcing strategy, negotiation, and supplier management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
