Demand Planning Manager
A fast-growing consumer-focused organization is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to drive forecasting strategy and support data-driven decision-making across the business. This role focuses on analyzing large datasets, improving forecast accuracy, and translating insights into actionable plans that guide cross-functional execution. Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Planning
- Develop and manage SKU-level demand forecasts across a diverse product portfolio.
- Incorporate historical performance, market trends, and business inputs to improve forecast accuracy.
- Monitor sales patterns, seasonality, and promotional impacts to reduce stock imbalances.
- Communicate forecast changes and business implications to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support planning efforts for new products and business initiatives.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Build and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to track performance metrics.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests across the organization.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Support and enhance demand planning processes to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Assist in developing tools, documentation, and reporting frameworks to support team growth.
- Contribute to improving data infrastructure and planning workflows.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment across systems and processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across operations, finance, and commercial functions to align planning efforts.
- Provide analytical support for high-priority initiatives and strategic projects.
- Help drive consistency and transparency across planning and reporting activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or data analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data analysis and transformation.
- Experience working with large datasets and building reports or dashboards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Background:
- Experience working in consumer-focused or product-driven organizations.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and planning systems.
- Experience supporting e-commerce or multi-channel environments is a plus.
