Director of Manufacturing
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Manufacturing to lead our operations in Iowa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy metal fabrication, coating, and assembly, with at least 10 years of leadership experience. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive operational excellence and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Lead and mentor a team of managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to align manufacturing goals with overall business objectives.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet production targets.
- Analyze production data and generate reports for senior management.
- Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the heavy manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in heavy metal fabrication, coating, and assembly.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with ERP systems.
