EHS Manager required for Leading Packaging Manufacturer

We're looking for a hands-on, proactive EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety programs for a manufacturing site of up to 300 employees. In this role, you'll drive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with plant leadership to support operational excellence.
The EHS manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead all EHS initiatives to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local regulations
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational KPIs
- Build a strong safety culture through leadership, coaching, and effective communication
- Manage audits, inspections, permits, reporting, and regulatory interactions
- Develop and deliver EHS training across all shifts
- Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis
- Oversee industrial hygiene, ergonomics, hazardous waste, fire protection, and emergency response programs
- Maintain chemical inventory, hazard communication, and SDS systems
- Partner with HR on Workers' Compensation and return-to-work programs
The ideal EHS Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's degree required (EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred)
- 3+ years of experience leading EHS programs in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, safety standards, and compliance processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience influencing teams and driving a safety-first culture
- Preferred: Lean manufacturing experience, multi-shift operations, CHMM/ASP/CSP/CIH or similar certifications
