Summary:
A leading food manufacturer of meat products is looking for a new Maintenance Manager for their site in Denmark, WI. This is a full time on site position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage and support a team of four supervisors and a planner
- Promote team development through training and education
- Oversee the maintenance apprenticeship program with Wisconsin DWD
- Drive CMMS usage for asset tracking, preventive maintenance, and workflow efficiency
- Monitor and improve work order and preventive maintenance performance
- Control maintenance spending on parts and labor
- Support and lead major maintenance and continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory training and procedures
- Provide technical support and oversee utility systems, inventory, and contractor coordination
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years of management experience; bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent technical training/apprenticeship
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and priorities
- Broad knowledge of maintenance crafts, tools, and systems including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems
- Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance (PM) programs
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, changing environments; highly motivated and team-oriented
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and interface with contractors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CMMS/Mpulse, ERP systems; AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience preferred
- Strong reasoning, decision-making, and advanced math skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive motions
