Maintenance Manager
DSJ Global is partnered with a top food manufacturing company based out of Reno, NV to hire a Maintenance Manager.
Overview:
The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves supervising a team, coordinating repairs and installations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring daily operations run smoothly
- Maintain and improve equipment and facilities to meet FDA and USDA standards
- Collaborate with department heads to support production goals and minimize downtime
- Plan and implement future upgrades to equipment and infrastructure
- Monitor maintenance costs, safety, and quality metrics
- Interpret technical documents, schematics, and work orders; assign tasks accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
- Source cost-effective parts and materials, including in-house fabrication when feasible
- Support hiring, training, performance management, and employee development
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety procedures, and technical documents
- Proficiency with computers and maintenance-related software systems
