Maintenance Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all operational equipment and infrastructure through both reactive and preventative maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage a skilled maintenance team, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational performance.
  • Lead the creation and execution of a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
  • Manage and mentor a multi-skilled maintenance team, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
  • Oversee equipment optimization, downtime reduction, and root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Coordinate internal and external maintenance activities to maximize uptime and minimize disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering data systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage the introduction and disposal of machinery and equipment, from specification to installation or decommissioning.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including capital expenditure planning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and procurement teams to support business goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • 1-2 years of leadership or management experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems (including PLCs).
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with maintenance management systems.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Office and shop floor environment with exposure to machinery and production areas.
  • May involve walking, standing, climbing, and occasional travel between facilities.
