The Maintenance Supervisor will provide hands‑on leadership and technical oversight for maintenance teams supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.
The Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise mechanical, electrical, and piping skilled trades in a continuous manufacturing environment
- Plan and direct daily maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and repair schedules
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing standards, procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Drive preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
- Track daily technician work execution and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage for 24/7 operations and respond to after‑hours emergencies as needed
- Evaluate equipment issues to determine appropriate repair strategies and resource requirements
- Partner with operations to identify recurring equipment issues and recommend reliability improvements
- Lead training, coaching, and development of maintenance technicians while driving accountability
- Manage spare parts and maintenance inventories to support operational efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, cost reduction, and elimination of failure modes
The Maintenance Supervisor should have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 1 year in a direct supervisory role
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fluid power, and control systems
- Hands‑on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- OSHA 30‑hour certification
- CMRT or other relevant maintenance certification preferred
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
- Experience using CMMS systems; SAP Plant Maintenance experience highly desirable
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a skilled technical workforce
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions in high‑pressure situations
