About the Role

DSJ Global is partnered with a leading global manufacturer specializing in copper and fiber cable products. They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive innovation and efficiency in our production processes. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate across departments, and make a tangible impact on cost reduction and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve production methods, processes, machines, equipment, tooling, and designs for cable manufacturing.
  • Conduct engineering studies, feasibility analyses, and statistical evaluations to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control, Production, Maintenance, and vendors to enhance manufacturing methods and reduce costs.
  • Assist in planning production methods for new and revised products, ensuring seamless implementation of new equipment and processes.
  • Lead improvement teams and manage small capital projects, including equipment selection and layout design.
  • Prepare operating and process specifications, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigate production challenges and implement innovative solutions, including automation where feasible.
  • Stay current with industry trends through technical literature, trade shows, and vendor engagement.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Process, Industrial & Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering/Technology).
  • Experience: Background in product/process development and limited project leadership experience.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Machine, equipment, and tool design
    • Manufacturing methods and materials handling
    • Product design, quality control, and cost analysis
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with statistical software.
