Master Planner/Buyer
We are supporting a fast‑growing organization in the life sciences manufacturing sector in their search for a Master Production Planner & Buyer to support its on‑site operations. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain compliant master production schedules within an Oracle‑based ERP/MRP system, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, customer requirements, and validated manufacturing lead times.
- Conduct capacity, resource, and equipment analyses to confirm feasibility of production plans while meeting regulatory and quality standards.
- Track daily manufacturing performance, assess schedule deviations, and drive corrective actions to maintain adherence within a regulated environment.
- Adjust and re-prioritize production schedules based on material availability, equipment constraints, quality holds, staffing changes, and unexpected production issues.
- Expedite or re-sequence activities as needed while maintaining proper documentation and compliance with GMP and change-control procedures.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and planning teams to manage priorities, prevent backorders, and resolve material or capacity limitations.
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and capacity analyses using ERP/MRP data to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Participate in procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials required to support production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain, production planning, or materials-focused role.
- Experience with Oracle ERP/MRP systems required; Oracle experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of purchasing and buying processes; familiarity with regulated manufacturing or injection molding environments is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex production and capacity data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other MS Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
