Role Overview
Lead the molding process engineering function in a medical device manufacturing environment specializing in injection molding. This hands‑on leadership role requires solid technical expertise, experience in regulated operations, and the ability to guide a team of skilled engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all injection molding process engineering activities, including development, optimization, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Supervise a team of experienced engineers and molding technicians, promoting strong technical execution.
- Drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and OEE through scientific molding and data‑driven methods.
- Ensure all processes meet ISO and medical‑device regulatory requirements.
- Support tooling readiness, new mold trials, and troubleshooting of complex molding issues.
- Contribute to new product introductions and ongoing manufacturing support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering or another engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of hands‑on injection molding engineering experience (medical device preferred).
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing seasoned technical staff.
- Strong understanding of molding equipment, tooling, and scientific molding principles.
- Experience working in regulated or ISO‑driven environments.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Scientific molding or RJG certifications are a plus.
