Production Engineer II (Chemical)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineer II in the chemical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring safety and compliance, improving efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimize daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Analyze process data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Maintenance, and EHS.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Support troubleshooting of process issues and equipment malfunctions.
- Lead or participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Assist in planning and executing plant trials, process modifications, and scale-up activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to cost reduction, yield improvement, and waste minimization projects.
- Maintain accurate production records and generate performance reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in process engineering and/or plant operations
- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in process control systems and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
