Seeking a Production Manager (Downstream - Packaging) to lead and manage packaging operations for pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Singapore. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and safe packaging of pharmaceutical products while fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and delegation skills, a hands-on approach to training and team development, and preferably, relevant experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all downstream packaging operations, ensuring adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards.
  • Supervise and develop a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive daily production targets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and minimal downtime.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to track performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including documentation, audits, and inspections.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Lead training programs to upskill team members, ensuring competency in SOPs, safety, and equipment handling.
  • Champion lean manufacturing principles and support digital transformation initiatives within the packaging area.
  • Manage shift planning, manpower allocation, and succession planning for the packaging team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, FMCG, or medical devices preferred).
  • Proven track record in leading teams, delegating effectively, and developing talent.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HSE standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with packaging equipment, automation systems, and production planning tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
