As we expand our operations and product lines, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Buyer to manage procurement activities for mechanical, electrical, and injection moulded components across our development and production projects.
Your Role
As a Project Buyer, you will play a key role in sourcing and managing suppliers for critical components, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. You will work closely with engineering, R&D, and project management teams to support the successful execution of new product developments and manufacturing scale-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement for mechanical, electrical, and injection moulded parts
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with project timelines
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
- Support cost analysis and risk mitigation strategies
Your Profile
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field
- 3-5 years of experience in project procurement, ideally in biotech, medtech, or high-tech manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical components and injection moulding processes
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Fluent in English; German or French is a strong advantage
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
