Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Engineer required for leading semiconductor manufacturer

The Quality Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, including investigating complaints, performing root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate the return and analysis of nonconforming products and partner with production teams to implement corrective measures.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action activities related to customer quality concerns.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the production process.
  • Develop, track, and report quality metrics to communicate product performance and trends to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform product and process audits to verify compliance with customer and quality system requirements.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Stay current on quality standards, industry trends, and best practices related to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Work in both office and clean room environments with regular interaction in manufacturing areas, including exposure to noise, fumes, chemicals, and computer-based work.

The ideal Quality Engineer candidate will have the following skillset:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a customer quality or quality engineering role.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related technical field.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans is a plus.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS9102 FAIR requirements; internal audit experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance concepts, tools, and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
