Quality Engineering Manager

Primary Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the quality vision and strategy for the door plant, guiding a team of quality professionals to execute that vision.
  • Align divisional quality goals with enterprise-wide objectives, focusing on both short-term results and long-term improvements.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce total cost of quality, enhance initial product quality, minimize warranty claims, and ensure perfect order fulfillment.
  • Implement and oversee non-conformance management and error-proofing systems, sharing best practices with manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor product and process quality trends over time to identify and address emerging issues.
  • Mentor and develop future quality leaders, building a strong talent pipeline.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support planning and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring timely achievement of operational goals.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to maximize value delivery and organizational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including supplier quality.
  • Proven ability to develop and enhance quality concepts, standards, and applications.
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, with flexibility to adapt to business needs.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of total experience, including 7+ years in engineering or technical quality leadership roles.
