Quality Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality assurance and control activities within a heavy machinery manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement across production processes and supplier quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for product and process non-conformances.
- Oversee inspection, testing, and documentation of heavy machinery components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve product reliability.
- Manage internal and external audits, certifications, and customer quality requirements.
- Monitor quality KPIs and lead initiatives to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor quality team members and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality management within heavy manufacturing or industrial equipment sectors.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, welding, machining, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (CQE or similar certification preferred).
