This company has grown from a small mom-and-pop shop to a leading producer of metals products. The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing the ISO quality program and all aspects of quality at the facility. The Quality Manager will be responsible for:
- Establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the plant's quality management system in compliance with ISO standards
- Overseeing inspection and testing processes for incoming materials and finished products
- Managing customer complaints, mill claims, corrective actions, and cost of quality reporting
- Leading internal audits, ISO documentation, management reviews, and coordination with third-party registrars
- Developing inspection methods, sampling plans, and process control procedures
- Investigating product defects, nonconformances, and process improvement opportunities
- Providing ISO, quality system, and quality-related training to plant personnel
- Collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on quality-related matters
- Exercising authority to stop production, reject nonconforming material, and address unsafe conditions
The Quality Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or related experience
- Quality management or quality engineering experience
- Working knowledge of ISO quality management standards and audit processes
- Experience with metals or heavy industrial manufacturing preferred
