About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Regional Electrical Engineer with a strong hands‑on background in electrical maintenance across industrial plants. This role is part of our regional operations support team and plays a key function in troubleshooting, standardising, and uplifting electrical maintenance performance across multiple European sites.
This is not a project engineering or office-based design role - the ideal candidate is someone who has spent time on the shop floor, resolving electrical issues, supporting technicians, and improving maintenance programs directly at the equipment level.
Your Responsibilities
Electrical Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support
- Provide expert hands‑on troubleshooting across Low, Medium or High Voltage systems.
- Support multiple European plants in solving electrical breakdowns, chronic issues, and system failures.
- Conduct on-site assessments to identify operational risks and maintenance gaps.
Plant Improvement & Standardisation
- Work closely with local electrical teams to enhance and harmonize maintenance programs.
- Ensure all sites meet a consistent electrical reliability and safety standard.
- Evaluate current electrical infrastructure and recommend technical improvements.
Technical Guidance & Best Practices
- Advise site teams on safe electrical work practices and compliance with German/EU regulations.
- Promote preventive and predictive maintenance techniques for electrical assets.
- Support the development of local technicians through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
Regional Coordination
- Partner with electrical leads across Europe to align maintenance methods and share learnings.
- Visit regional plants to provide hands‑on support and validate performance improvements.
- Act as the regional point of contact for electrical maintenance excellence.
Your Profile
- 5+ years hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance within Food & Beverage, Chemicals, Mining, or Oil & Gas industries.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV/HV systems, electrical distribution, and industrial equipment.
- Fluent German (mandatory), with good communication skills across multicultural environments.
- Comfortable working 5 days/week on-site in Hamburg, with regular travel across Europe.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, able to diagnose and resolve electrical issues quickly.
- Experience mentoring or supporting plant electrical teams is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with European electrical standards and safe working practices.
