Senior Director of Global Product Development

We are seeking a Senior Director of Global Product Marketing to lead innovation and category growth for a high-growth, industry-leading consumer brand.

This individual will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of products by identifying emerging consumer trends, building differentiated product platforms, and translating insights into compelling, commercially successful offerings.This is a highly cross-functional leadership role, working closely with Marketing, Industrial Design, Engineering, Consumer Insights, and global manufacturing teams to bring new products from concept through launch.

Key Responsibilities

Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own the long-term product and innovation roadmap across multiple price tiers and consumer segments
  • Identify whitespace opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive gaps
  • Build clear product architectures, segmentation strategies, and "good-better-best" frameworks
  • Drive new product development from early-stage ideation through commercialization

Consumer Insight & Product Storytelling

  • Translate consumer behavior and insights into differentiated product concepts and narratives
  • Develop compelling value propositions, naming strategies, and product positioning
  • Partner with marketing and creative teams to ensure strong storytelling across all channels (retail, digital, packaging, etc.)
  • Champion a consumer-first mindset across the organization

Cross-Functional Product Development

  • Partner closely with Industrial Design, Engineering, and global teams to deliver best-in-class products
  • Guide decisions around features, materials, finishes, and packaging aligned with market trends and cost targets
  • Ensure alignment between innovation, manufacturing feasibility, and commercialization timelines

Commercial & Retail Strategy

  • Support sales teams with retailer-specific strategies and compelling product presentations
  • Drive assortment strategy across key channels (mass, specialty, e-commerce, club, etc.)
  • Contribute to pricing architecture, merchandising, and business performance analysis

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product marketing team
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
  • Build strong cross-functional alignment across domestic and global stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, innovation, or product development within consumer goods
  • Experience in cookware, housewares, kitchen appliances, or adjacent categories strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling consumer products from concept to market
  • Strong strategic thinking, storytelling, and consumer insight capabilities
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Strong communication and executive presence
