A global leader in designing and manufacturing high-performance devices for military and civilian aircraft is hiring for a Senior Mechanical Engineer position in Morris County, New Jersey. They are looking for an Engineer with deep experience in the aerospace and defense industry to join their team and impact their mission-critical products.
Position Summary:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will drive full-life cycle development of advanced mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems. You will be developing next-generation AC, DC, and hydraulic hoists from concept, prototyping, and testing all the way through production.
This role blends high-level technical leadership with project management responsibility: overseeing schedules, budgets, reporting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful product delivery in an ISO‑9001/AS9100 environment. You will also support aftermarket initiatives and guide both in‑house and outsourced engineering efforts.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong background in ISO-9001 or AS9100 environments and configuration management.
- Project management experience.
- Must be a US citizen or green card holder for security clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced materials, surface treatments, and FEA/simulation tools.
