Sourcing Operations Associate

We are supporting a leading global investment firm in their search for a Sourcing Operations Associate to support its North American Consumer and Technology verticals. The firm operates across Private Equity, Growth & Venture, Capital Solutions, Credit & Capital Markets, and Real Assets, with a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture that emphasizes strategic growth and innovation.

Role Summary
The Sourcing Operations Associate will play a key role in managing relationships, maintaining deal pipelines, supporting marketing efforts, and leveraging data and technology to enhance sourcing strategies. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Maintain CRM systems with updated interactions, pipelines, and reports.
• Utilize internal networks and tools to facilitate warm introductions to potential targets.
• Coordinate with coverage officers on conferences and inbound opportunities.
• Track executive movements using LinkedIn, expert networks, and other sources.
• Manage advisor and guide databases in collaboration with the Talent team.
• Support trip planning, meeting optimization, and investor conference logistics.

Pipeline & Deal Tracking

• Maintain and update vertical-specific target pipelines.
• Participate in vertical meetings to track progress and next steps.
• Ensure follow-up activities are completed post-meetings.
• Monitor competitive deal activity and sponsor portfolios.
• Assist in initial screening of target companies and conduct ad hoc analysis.
• Share best practices across business units related to sourcing tools and networks.

Marketing & Event Support

• Maintain and update marketing materials and vertical-specific pitch decks.
• Manage content for vertical microsites.
• Plan and execute executive events, including logistics and attendee coordination.
• Provide on-site support for conferences and events.

Technology & Data Integration

• Collaborate with Research, Data Science, and IT teams to identify and implement new sourcing tools.
• Support training and adoption of new systems across the Private Equity group.

Qualifications

• Strong multitasking and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of independent problem-solving.
• Familiarity with finance and private equity.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with CRM systems and private company databases (e.g., Pitchbook, Grata) preferred.
• Interest in AI applications for business sourcing and analysis.

Preferred Background

• 1-2 years of experience in business development or sales operations across Consumer and/or Technology Verticals.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
