Sr O&M Contracts Manager

We are supporting a renewable energy owner and operator on their search for a Manager, Contracts - O&M. This role sits within the Supply Chain organization and plays a key owner‑side function overseeing the development, negotiation, and execution of operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements across a portfolio of renewable energy assets. The Manager will lead contracting efforts for O&M services, spare parts, and long‑term service agreements across solar (PV), battery energy storage systems (BESS), and high voltage equipment, ensuring optimized performance, cost efficiency, and risk allocation across operating assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end negotiation, administration, and execution of O&M agreements, spare parts contracts, and LTSAs for PV, BESS, and high voltage equipment
  • Serve as the primary commercial interface with OEMs and service providers across ongoing operations and maintenance activities
  • Manage contract amendments, change orders, extensions, and terminations in alignment with asset performance, budgets, and operational needs
  • Oversee RFP processes for O&M services and major maintenance scopes, including bid evaluation, negotiations, and award recommendations
  • Negotiate and administer supply and service agreements for key equipment such as trackers, inverters, transformers, and energy storage systems, including warranties, performance guarantees, availability guarantees, and liquidated damages
  • Partner with Asset Management, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams to align contract structures with operational strategies and financial objectives
  • Develop and implement performance guarantee frameworks, including KPIs, testing protocols, measurement methods, and remedies
  • Lead spare parts strategy, including critical spares planning, inventory levels, pricing, lead times, and logistics coordination
  • Provide contractual support for outages, major maintenance events, and retrofit or repowering projects, ensuring strong scope definition and commercial protection
  • Maintain organized contract documentation, including templates, executed agreements, change logs, and performance records to support auditability and reporting
  • Track industry trends, pricing benchmarks, and regulatory changes impacting O&M, BESS, and high voltage work and recommend updates to contract strategies

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or JD) is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in O&M contract management within renewable energy, infrastructure, or related sectors
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing O&M agreements, spare parts contracts, and service agreements
  • Familiarity with renewable technologies including solar (PV), battery energy storage systems (BESS), and wind
  • Strong understanding of contract structures, commercial risk allocation, and contract negotiation principles
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess and mitigate contractual risks
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office tools
