Job Title: Technical Manager (Maintenance)

Company: Major Multinational FMCG Company

Reporting to: Production Unit Manager

Location: Suzhou, China

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of up to 20 technicians and engineers. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Production Optimization: Work on production adjustments and optimizations to support new product launches. Ensure that all production processes are aligned with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Maintenance Activities: Implement and lead optimization and lean processes within maintenance activities. Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with Production Unit Managers and the Plant Director. Provide regular updates on maintenance activities, production adjustments, and optimization initiatives.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a safety-first culture within the maintenance team and across the production unit.
  • Budget Management: Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high standards of maintenance and operational efficiency.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree from a reputable university with a major in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Experience: At least 7 years of working experience in maintenance, preferably within the FMCG sector. Strong technical knowledge of filling, rounding, labeling, capping, and bottling machines is essential.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams. Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices, lean manufacturing principles, and optimization techniques. Familiarity with modern maintenance management systems and tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin. Ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
