Validation Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Validation Manager to support ongoing validation and requalification activities at a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Haarlem. This role is ideal for a Senior Validation Technician or Specialist looking to step into a position with greater responsibility - management experience is not required.
Much of the validation work is already planned and scoped; the focus of this role is execution, ensuring activities are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and on schedule.
You will work within a collaborative team of eight validation professionals (two permanent employees and six contingent workers) supporting a variety of aseptic and sterile manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute equipment requalification, including:
- CQV (Commissioning, Qualification & Validation)
- OQ (Operational Qualification)
- Prepare, review, and update validation protocols, reports, and related documentation.
- Perform SOP updates and ensure documentation aligns with regulatory and internal quality standards.
- Support validation activities for sterile manufacturing equipment, including:
- Autoclaves
- Freeze dryers (lyophilizers)
- Filling machines
- Ensure alignment with GMP and site validation strategy.
- Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams, using Veeva Vault for documentation and quality management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of validation processes.
- Adapt quickly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 3 - 4 years' experience in validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid general knowledge of validation principles and requirements.
- Experience with equipment CQV and requalification activities.
- Familiarity with sterile manufacturing equipment (autoclaves, freeze dryers, filling lines).
- Experience working with Veeva Vault or similar quality systems (advantageous).
- Ability to work independently on pre-planned validation tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation standards.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Dutch or English speaking
