VP Logistics - Global Transformation
Vice President, Global Logistics Transformation
We are partnering with a global manufacturer of advanced electronics and industrial machinery to identify a Vice President of Global Logistics. The company operates a complex, international supply chain supporting high‑reliability products used in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure‑driven environments where logistics execution is a critical differentiator.
This senior leadership role offers a rare opportunity to architect and lead a global logistics transformation, evolving a fragmented legacy network into a modern, scalable, and digitally enabled logistics platform aligned with long‑term growth.
Role Overview
The Vice President of Global Logistics will be responsible for reshaping the organization's end‑to‑end logistics ecosystem. This leader will drive global alignment across regions, modernize systems and partners, and significantly improve service, cost, and scalability. The role demands a balance of strategic vision, operational credibility, and change leadership, with direct influence on enterprise performance.
What You'll Lead
Global Network Strategy & Design
- Reimagine and restructure the global logistics footprint, including warehouses, hubs, and distribution nodes, to eliminate redundancy and improve total cost and service outcomes
- Connect currently fragmented regional flows into a cohesive global network that reduces lead‑time variability and inventory exposure
- Establish common operating standards, governance, and performance measurement across regions
- Ensure the future‑state network is resilient and capable of supporting substantial volume growth without linear cost increases
Service, Cost, and Performance Improvement
- Address persistent service issues and inefficiencies through structural, end‑to‑end solutions
- Build visibility into logistics costs and performance by lane, region, and customer to support margin‑focused decisions
- Raise delivery reliability and execution discipline to meet the expectations of demanding industrial and technology customers
Technology, Automation & Analytics
- Champion the transition from manual or legacy tools to an integrated logistics technology landscape (TMS, WMS, global visibility platforms)
- Deploy targeted automation and advanced optimization tools where they deliver measurable ROI
- Introduce predictive analytics and network modeling to enable proactive planning and scenario‑based decision‑making
Partners, Trade & External Networks
- Simplify and optimize the global carrier and 3PL ecosystem through strategic consolidation and enterprise‑level agreements
- Improve international trade flows by refining lane design, customs approaches, and cross‑border execution
- Define which logistics capabilities should be owned internally versus outsourced to balance control, flexibility, and scalability
Leadership, Change & Capability Building
- Drive the shift from regionally optimized decision‑making to enterprise‑wide network thinking
- Assess organizational strengths and gaps; attract, develop, and retain world‑class logistics talent
- Build leadership depth and succession for future global growth
Experience & Background
- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in global logistics or supply chain
- Demonstrated success leading complex network transformations, turnarounds, or large‑scale global initiatives
- Background in electronics, machinery, industrial manufacturing, or similarly complex environments
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience delivering material cost, service, and working‑capital improvements
- Proven leadership in logistics technology modernization, including TMS, WMS, and advanced analytics platforms
- Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and communicate complex strategies clearly
Why This Opportunity
- Executive‑level mandate to redesign a global logistics operation
- High visibility and material impact on enterprise performance
- Opportunity to build a future‑state logistics engine rather than optimize around legacy constraints
