Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to lead the charge in acquiring new clients and expanding our footprint in the Pharma, Life Sciences, and Health-care sectors. You will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and driving revenue growth in a high-potential market.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the pharma and healthcare sectors.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the pharma vertical across Italy.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal operations, compliance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless on boarding and service delivery.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and client needs to offer tailored logistics solutions.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in international freight forwarding (air and ocean).
- At least 4 years of commercial or sales experience in the pharma, life sciences, or health-care sectors.
- Proven track record of winning new business and building strategic client relationships.
- Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
- Strong understanding of GDP compliance and temperature-controlled logistics is a plus.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Willingness to travel within Italy and occasionally internationally.
