Our client, a leading organisation within the aerospace sector, is seeking a talented Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our client's team on a permanent basis in Hampton, VA. This is a key role managing electrical and controls projects across a modern production facility, supporting both production and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical and controls projects from initial design through commissioning, ensuring quality, safety and compliance.
- Troubleshoot automation systems to minimise downtime and optimise facility performance.
- Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams, providing technical support and guidance.
Skills & Experience
- Engineering: Strong engineering mindset with the ability to analyse, design and improve electrical and control systems within an industrial environment.
- PLC: Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers, including programming, diagnostics and optimisation of control logic.
- Allen-Bradley PLCs: Preferred experience working with Allen-Bradley platforms, enabling seamless integration and support of existing systems.
- HMI: Experience with Human-Machine Interfaces to develop intuitive operator screens and improve system usability.
- SCADA: Familiarity with SCADA systems for monitoring, data collection and control of facility operations.
Benefits
- Base salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (dependent on experience).
- Annual bonus.
