About the Opportunity
A leading environmental and industrial services organization is seeking an experienced Facility Director to oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a large-scale treatment, storage, and disposal facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, employee development, and customer satisfaction while fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all facility operations, including treatment, processing, storage, maintenance, engineering, logistics, and environmental compliance.
- Drive a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state regulatory requirements.
- Manage P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.
- Develop and execute operational strategies focused on productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and development for salaried and hourly employees across multiple departments.
- Partner with commercial, EHS, engineering, and corporate leadership teams to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee capital projects, equipment reliability programs, and facility infrastructure improvements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with regulators, customers, vendors, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure facility preparedness for audits, inspections, and emergency response situations.
- Establish KPIs and implement data-driven initiatives to improve operational performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within industrial manufacturing, chemical processing, waste management, environmental services, refining, energy, or related industries.
- Proven success leading large operational teams in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Experience managing facility budgets, capital expenditures, and operational planning.
- Demonstrated track record of improving safety, productivity, reliability, and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF) operations
- Hazardous waste management
- Chemical manufacturing or petrochemical operations
- Industrial services or environmental services
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs
- Multi-department leadership and site-wide management responsibility
